Discover the grandeur of Kings Canyon in the heart of the Australian outback from the comfort of a helicopter. You will be transferred from Kings Canyon Resort in an air-conditioned van to the launch site, where you'll embark on a 30 minute exploration of the region. Fly over the 440 million year old canyon and view areas that are not reachable by ground-based touring. From here, you'll cruise along George Gill Range to Petermann Pound where you might be lucky enough to see camels and brumbies in their natural habitat, before returning back via Back Canyon.
Tour Details:
- Departures from 8:30am through until Sunset, 365 days per year (weather permitting)
- Informative commentary is provided by your pilot throughout the flight including tips on the best angle for those postcard photos
- Opportunity to have your photo taken in front of the helicopter
- A courtesy pickup is available from Kings Canyon Resort Reception, please select this option at time of checkout.
- For passengers staying in the Camp Ground, the helipad is only a 2 minute drive, 8 minute walk or you can make your way to the Resort Reception for a complimentary pickup. Please select meet at helipad, or resort reception pickup at time of checkout.
- Note pickups are not available from within the Camp Grounds, or from the service station. Refer to image of map.
- All passengers must be fit, able and have a moderate to high level of mobility to safely load and unload the helicopter without assistance
- Steps and platforms are required to enter the helicopter
- Enclosed toe, non slip footwear is recommended for this activity, as is long sleeve clothing where temperatures allow
- All prices listed are per person, and all flights are subject to minimum numbers
- Infants aged 0 - 1 ride Free of Charge on a parent/guardians lap
- For each guest weighing 125 kilograms or more, an additional adjacent seat is allocated on board the helicopter with a surcharge incorporated into the fare type
