Your day will start in the homestead at Woodlands Historic Park with a generous sized scone served with your choice of coffee or tea. We recommend you not to overindulge at breakfast on the morning of your tour, you'll want to save room for your scone!
After morning tea you will have time to explore the homestead / museum before you tour of Living Legends, also within Woodlands Historic Park. Living Legends is home to some favourite retired champion race horses such as Fields of Omagh, Silent Witness, Rogan Josh, Apache Cat, Brew, Efficient and his old mate Zipping. Plus recent additions include Twilight Payment, Redkirk Warrior (GB), Peniaphobia (IRE), Tom Melbourne, Fawkner and Almandin. On the tour you will get to meet, pat and feed the horses. If you're lucky, you'll even get to watch the local kangaroos in their natural environment.
We then head down the road to Holgate Brewery for beer tasting and delicious pub lunch. Holgate's is a country pub with a range of classic beer styles, full in flavour and rich in character. See a microbrewery in action at the hotel. Staff will lead you through tasting the range of beers on offer at Holgate before showing you the brewery itself.
Our last stop is wine tasting at the Hanging Rock Winery where you can enjoy the beautiful views of the Macedon Ranges while sampling the award winning wines.
