Hoover Dam - long considered one of the great engineering wonders of the modern world. From 1931-1935 it took up to 15,000 men working during the Great Depression to build this testament to mankind's technological will in the harshest conditions imaginable. Since that time it has provided flood control and electricity to seven Western States.
In recent years massive drought has impacted the Colorado River, Lake Mead, and is endangering Hoover Dam's future. Our tour mixes tales of those who built the dam with the past, present and the future of water in the dry Southwest United Sates.
