Taking the next step into overnight hiking can be very rewarding and a lot of fun. It's important to be prepared and feel confident so you have an awesome experience! Off The Beaten Track WA will lead you on a hike along the Bibbulmun Track through mixed jarrah forest from Sullivan Rock to Mt Cooke Campsite. After setting up camp at Mt Cooke, you will enjoy dinner to the sound of the black cockatoos song. As the sun goes down we will light the campfire and enjoy the mesmerising flames, warmth and ambience as the cool night air sets in.
On day two we will leave the heavy packs at camp and head on up to the summit of Mt Cooke and hike along the ridge to the illusive Mt Cooke Cave before returning to camp for lunch. We have incorporated all meals into this itinerary to make your equipment list as short as possible. A packing list will be emailed to you upon registration. Further details will be sent to you once your booking is confirmed.

Distance: Total hike distance over 2 days is approximately 20 kms.
Time : Depart 2pm Saturday, return 2pm Sunday.
Includes: 2 days of guided hiking, demo and assistance on correct tent set up and site selection, all meals (dinner, breakfast, lunch), a whole lot of fun!

What to Bring? As a rough guide you will require a tent, sleeping mat, sleeping bag, stove, pots & stove gas, liner, pillow, clothes, toiletries, 3ltrs water, and a pack big enough to put it all in (55-65ltr).
Gear Hire : OTBT has tents, sleeping mats, stove & pot sets, 65ltr backpacks available to hire. Please add gear on the extras page as you move through the booking process. Equipment can be collected from our "Basecamp" in Serpentine the week of the tour.
Off The Beaten Track WA provide a trained and experienced Lead Guide and Tail Ender for our hikes. We carry two-way communication devices, a personal location beacon when phone signal is not available and we’re a fully licensed, insured and accredited Western Australian tourism business provide hiking and adventure experiences with a twist!
