The historic Kangaroo Point Cliffs are a true Brisbane icon, a majestic span of volcanic rock hugging the banks of the river. Perhaps you’ve seen them hundreds of times, always wondering what it would be like to scale those sheer faces. What will you find, clinging to the wall some 20m above the ground with the beautiful city skyline spread behind you?
It’s time to find out. Pinnacle Sports runs awesome, challenging, exhilarating rock climbing adventures at this unique urban climbing venue. Our 3-hour sessions are perfect for beginners and intermediate climbers, as well as groups, social clubs, parties, school outings and corporate events. With hundreds of routes available, ranging in difficulty from beginner to elite, there is literally something for everyone.
Meet your Pinnacle guide at the base of the cliff where you’ll run through some basic skills – tying in, belaying technique, climbing movement. From there, you’ll be heading straight up the cliff and finding out why so many folks are getting hooked on the sport! If 3 hours just isn’t enough, take a look at our Adults Climbing Course to take your skills to the next level.
Our awesome guides are highly trained, fully accredited, and totally stoked! They’ll teach you everything you need to know, as well as take care of the safety procedures and provide all the gear, including harness, helmet, climbing shoes and all other equipment. All you’ll need is a water bottle, appropriate clothing, and enclosed shoes for getting around the cliffs. If you have some climbing gear already, bring it along and your guide will let you know if it’s good to go.
The session runs for 3 hours from 8am to 11am. Customised times for group bookings are available on request.
Can’t do a pull-up? Don’t worry – technique is much more important than strength! You’ll only need an average level of fitness to take part.
